How to remove a broken file with minimum dentin loss

When the clinician faces intracanal separated instrument, the most important concern is removal of this obstruction in order to be able to disinfect, shape and seal the root canal system. However, this procedure should be carried out conservatively without losing much dentin from the root, otherwise the tooth survival would be compromised.

This workshop is designed to share the speakers’ perspective on management of broken instruments using a predictable and minimally invasive approach.

DAY 2

Demo on broken file removal with BTR by Dr.Zaher . ( 3 stages ) easy - hard - extracted tooth

Hands on with participants:

Each participant will do the following:

Stage 1 : removing 8 broken files from the BTR training gum ( to get used and be familiar with the device)

Stage 2 : removing 3 files from EASY plastic tooth with 3 easy broken file , Then removing another 3 files from HARD plastic tooth .

Stage 3 : Removing broken files from EXTRACTED Tooth (1-3 broken files according to the tooth they will have by draw )

with ultrasonics and BTR .
